Dianne has worked in the field of counselling for 23 years and is both a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and Registered Play Therapist with the Association for Play Therapy, California. She grew up during turbulent times in Quebec, and has also lived in England. Journal writing is an essential tool for making progress. We think that the thoughts in our mind own us, when really it is up to us to keep in our mind what is helpful and let go of the thoughts or feelings that hold us back. Daily reflecting is a way to become more familiar with how our mind works. Knowing our mind is necessary for understanding how we interpret the daily events we encounter. Write every day, just for 5 or 10 minutes. Ask: what is important for me to remember today? What did I learn? What did I observe? How did the world's splendor show itself to me today?
